  11. As part of MIT's annual Independent Activities Period, the MIT Computer
  12. Graphics Society taught a course on Open Inventor, SGI's object-oriented 3D
  13. graphics toolkit, this January. All of the lecture notes, problem sets and
  14. solutions, and final projects are now available on the web.

  16. This course covers most of the material in the Inventor Mentor, and
  17. provides a strong basis for further exploration with the Inventor
  18. toolkit. Best of all, this course is absolutely free!
